To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Breathing deep into my heart,
Where stillness flows.
I whisper,
I love you.
Body smiles and gently sighs,
Thank you.
I love my body just the way she is.
I am the one, the only one,
Who can speak this truth.
So I speak it softly with intention—
And I scream it out loud for all the world to hear:
I LOVE MY BEAUTIFUL BODY!
Freedom ensues.
Open heart soothes.
I rest.
Violet streaks of light anoint my crown.
I love who I am.
I peek behind the thin, translucent veil
And giggle to see—the King has no clothes on!
Hope he too loves his body…
Freedom arises.
Blessings abound.
Sing Hallelujah!
The voice, true-blue,
Bold, valiant, courageous,
Singing a continuous chorus of love—
And yes, even the daily chores of it.
Sweetpea—loving me, loving you,
Perfect, beautiful body.
Blue sky, yellow sun, moon of gold.
Sweeping green meadows—
Together we rise in the sacred stillness,
Dancing, daring, delicious body.
Perfect just the way she is.
Center of the universe.
That’s me, right here.
Sun-inspired, heavenly light ignites,
Shining brighter than the brightest stars.
Passion. Joy. Bursts of orange.
I create. I live. I cultivate.
And sing out loud: I love my body.
Red-hot, right here is where I belong.
Living, loving this wondrous,
Wildly magnificent body.
I love my eyes, ears, nose, and throat.
I love my hair—long, beautiful hair.
I love my mouth that laughs and cries,
That pouts and shouts,
That sighs and sings off-key
That happy tune.
I grin. I laugh. I wonder. I cry.
Shoulders strong, carry the weight.
Arms wrap around in loving delight.
Hands hold my world.
Fingers grasp what mind cannot.
Heart beats—bumpity, bipity, boo.
Breath, always there.
I love my round, round belly.
I love these legs that stretch and stand,
That walk but never run.
And oh, these wiggly, jiggly toes—
Just too much fun.
I truly love this wild, crazy body.
From crown and nose to feet and toes,
She shines. She glows.
My beautiful, perfect, amazing body.
And I love her. Just as she is.

And I love her. Just as she is.
And I said to my body, softly, ‘I want to be your friend.’
It took a long breath and replied, ‘I’ve been waiting my whole life for this.’
