The Bioenergetic Power of Plant Medicine
There’s a reason we reach for certain scents when we’re sad, scattered, or seeking calm. Essential oils are not just pleasant aromas but potent allies in our energetic and emotional healing.
Each oil carries a vibrational frequency. Just like music or light, essential oils emit measurable waves of energy. Rose, for example, is one of the highest-frequency oils known to man. When we apply it to the skin, diffuse it into a room, or breathe it deeply into the body, it helps lift us into a higher vibrational state.
This isn’t magic. It’s resonance.
When we are anxious or depressed, our own frequency drops. Essential oils work like tuning forks, reminding the body and spirit of their natural rhythm.
For example:
- Patchouli supports grounding and belonging (root chakra)
- Ylang Ylang opens the flow of creativity and sensuality (sacral chakra)
- Bergamot helps restore confidence and inner strength (solar plexus)
- Rose softens and uplifts the heart (heart chakra)
- Frankincense clears the way for truth and self-expression (throat chakra)
- Myrrh deepens intuition and stillness (third eye)
- Jasmine connects us to the divine (crown chakra)
I’ll be writing more about each of these oils in the context of chakra healing and how they support the emotional and spiritual layers of our being.
But for now, I invite you to notice how you feel when you breathe in something sacred. The body knows. The body remembers.
Essential oils are not cure-alls, but they are companions. They carry the wisdom of the earth and the light of the plant. When used with care and intention, they help us return to ourselves.

Essential oils don’t fix us. They remind us. They hold the memory of what wholeness feels like.
